When are Cards published on a Taskboard?
As explained in this article Get Started - LYNX TameFlow, the following process conditions are applicable in order to publish cards on the LYNX TameFlow Taskboard of a user:
- The "Project Status" is "Released"
- Mike is assigned (or confirmed) as a resource to the Skill Designer for "This is a Workpackage"
- The Workpackage status is "Started"
Download and Start LYNX TameFlow Taskboard
Download LYNX TameFlow from the File menu:
Login with the same LYNX login credentials.
Working with Cards on the Taskboard
After login the cards are displayed automtically on the task board:
Add a new Card (Subtask):
Any user and team member with access to the workpackage also has the possibility to update and add a new card:
Get a card Done (and Closed)
Cards can be moved from left to right. Once the card reaches the "Done" column, it is also considered as closed:
Note: the card is automatically closed based on the card closed condition set in the Card Configuration editor.
Update Ettc (Expected Time to Complete) of the Workpackage
In this example it is assumed that Mike, as a resource working on the cards within the workpackage) is in the best position to provide an Expected Time to Complete for completing all known cards within the Workpackage.
LYNX is supporting this process by showing the remaining size from cards (which is 32 hours). As a result Mike decides to enter as Ettc for the Workpackage 4 days (or 32 hours).
NOTE: when working with Team Skills the Ettc process is fully automated and derived from size or remaining duration of individual cards, see this article: Get started with a Team Skill.
An Ettc of 4 days has been entered:
The Workpackage is also presented via My activities, together with other tasks. Typically the Ettc process is done via My activities only.
Get Cards done with the LYNX My activities Cards View
As Mike is assigned to the Skill and Workpackage "This is a workpackage", he also automatically has access to the Workpackage via My activities. From this screen Mike can also choose to work with the My activities Cards View.
Once he has opened the Cards View, he can work with the Cards and also add new cards:
