    Good question.  I had the same issue.  One reason is the scheduling method is set to JIT.  But that didnt always work as a way to bring back the floating end date.

    And why can't we use JIT with a system-calculated end.  After all we want the scheduling system to calculate the duration.  If I guess an end date to trigger JIT task scheduling it seems to impact other things.
