LYNX provides multiple ways to export / copy the projects. In this article we discuss exporting the project to a file, and import it back to Lynx, for example in a new space, or into MS Project.

Export a project for LYNX:
To export a project in LYNX to use later in LYNX, you can use the following steps:
- Go to the burger menu.
- Go to File > Export to file
- Choose save as type "Lynx XML file".
- Choose Resource assignments as "Export both skills and resources (Lynx only)"
- Click on the "..." button next to Export to to choose the file location and name.
- Click Export.
Export a project for MS Project:
To export a project in LYNX to use in MS Project, you can use the following steps. Please note, MS Project does not support resource assignments, or buffers.
This means that you can either export the buffers anyway and keep them as "normal" tasks, or remove the buffers. And you can either not export the resource assignments, or export them as skills instead of skills and resources.
- Debuffer your project (optional, see above).
- Go to the burger menu.
- Go to File > Export to file
- Choose save as type "MS Project XML file".
- Choose Resource assignments as "Export skills instead of resources" or "Do not export resource assignments"
- Click on the "..." button next to Export to to choose the file location and name.
- Click Export.
