Introduction - create a copy
Within projects, there might be tasks that are the same. Or there might be tasks that are quite similar to other tasks. The same accounts for projects, there might be projects that occur every month or year. Therefore, in LYNX you have the possibility to copy tasks, projects and workspaces.
This article provides multiple options to copy these different components:
- Copy tasks
- Copy summary tasks
- Copy tasks to other projects
- Copy projects
- Copy projects between workspaces
Copy task(s)
To copy a task, you can select the task and press: CTRL + C. To place the task, select the place where you want to place the task: CTRL + V. The task will be placed below the selected task:
Remember: when you copy a task, this includes the skills, resources and the dependency!
When you want to copy multiple tasks, you can hold the CTRL-button to select multiple tasks. Or if you want to select a list of task, you can use the SHIFT-button. See the figures below:
When pasting these tasks, they will be pasted as a list. So in this case: Design 1, Hardware 1 and Integration 1 are coupled and will be placed as a list of three tasks.
