Create a project
Start a new project from scratch or from a template.
Do
- Creating a project: create a project in your space and give it the ID, name and status that the project list uses to identify it. About 3 minutes of reading.
- Creating a project from a template: start a new project from a template, with its tasks, durations, dependencies and assignments already in place. About 3 minutes of reading.
- Creating a project template: turn a project plan into a template that new projects can start from, with Save as template in Project properties. About 4 minutes of reading.
Build the plan
Add tasks, put them in order and say who is needed.
Do
- Adding a skill or a task manager to a task: say which skill a task needs and who looks after it, from the task's own Assignments and Taskmanagers tabs. About 3 minutes of reading.
Release and track a project
Release the plan to the team and read how the project is doing.
Look up
- Reading project statistics: the Project Statistics panel reports the state of a project's critical chain and its buffer, and is where the coloured bar in the project list comes from. About 3 minutes of reading.
